Torrents, waterfalls, gorges and canyons, white water has shaped the landscape
from Provence to the Southern Alps.
The region has therefore become an oasis highly coveted by fans of
canyoning, rafting, hydrospeed, canoeing and kayaking.
The most well-known of the fun-packed water worlds is the Verdon and its
famous canyon. Its rapids - Niagara, Styx, Souricière (Mousetrap) - are a real
joy to "pros".
Other rivers present just as much interest and a wide range of courses
suited to beginners or experienced enthusiasts : the Ubaye, the Durance
upstream of Embrun, the Guil in the Regional Natural Park of Queyras, the Drac
in the Champsaur, the Sorgue in the Vaucluse, Argens valley in the Var...
